Small-group instruction works best in groups of 2-4. Currently my students have kidney tables that are huge and seat 6-8 students. With these new, smaller tables, my students will get individualized instruction on tables that are proportioned to their size. When they work on the large tables, they are less focused and the noise level is louder because there is too much space between them and the teacher. Small groups will also help with classroom management since larger groups can easily get out-of-hand. The smaller tables will also allow each student to have their designated space at their own table.
