The LEGO bricks that I am requesting for my students will help me create a space that will make an impact on student learning. Currently, in my classroom, I have a "LEGO" space that is quite bare but the students enjoy the chance to work in that area. My goal is to create a LEGO Wall where students can not only work on their academic foundations, but also a place where students can go to be creative. Education should be fun and engaging for students so that they want to learn, not feel they have to learn. Not only will this new LEGO Wall create an engaging learning environment, it is also a space that can be used by teachers to help with behavior management to include creating sensory boxes for individual classrooms. The donations to this project will help improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful math.
