A full belly keeps a Sharp mind! I've noticed that in the afternoon my students get tired and hungry which makes them loose focus. Snack time helps them to rejuvenate and remain on task well after they leave for home. Students are coming back to in-person learning! Most of my students have been at home with access to eating whenever they need and we need to be prepared to have snacks for them to ease them back to scheduled times and keep them focused. Having snacks will give them their much needed energy! Many of my students come from low-income homes and bringing a snack to class everyday is just not feasible many times and I don't ever want any of my students to go without while they are at school because times are difficult at home. It's amazing how just a bag of chips or a juice turns a frown upside down. Sometimes it's the "little things" that our students need to keep them calm or give them the ability to focus (they are not thinking about how hungry they are or what's for dinner when they get home).
