"Free the child's potential and you will transform him into the world." -Maria Montessori My classroom is home to 1st through 3rd grade students. I am so lucky to guide some of the most enthusiastic learners out there. My students arrive every morning ready and eager to explore the world around them. Our classroom is as diverse as the world around us, with students coming from every cultural and socioeconomic walk of life. We are a Montessori school, and mine is a Montessori classroom. I do not see myself as the all knowing teacher, but as a guide- a guide towards knowledge. My students are encouraged to inquire and research. They learn abstract ideas through concrete hands on practice. My goal is guide my students towards their potential so that may become productive members of a 21st century society.
