I am a Kindergarten teacher at Cameron Elementary School in Chicago. I love teaching the young ones and watching the incredible growth they make in the span of one school year. This year, I am beginning my twelfth year teaching. I taught first grade for 5 years and Kindergarten for the past six years. I am looking forward to this upcoming school year! I am very passionate about teaching reading. I feel that reading can be the great equalizer and help break the cycle of poverty in young student's lives. I wholeheartedly believe that with hard work, creativity and my own love for reading, I can inspire students and create successful lifelong learners. I am also thrilled to be teaching an after school theatre program for the 5th-8th graders at my school. I love the chance to explore drama and school leadership with the older students and some are my former students. Thank you for supporting my important work!
