In first grade it’s extemely important that the class has a comfortable area for meetings and whole group discussions. This rug will be used as a safe and comfortable space in my classroom for the children to discuss and listen to one another. I do not want my students to feel confined to a desk. This rug will give them an opportunity to move freely. It’s very important for me as a teacher to foster a love for reading in my students. This rug will allow them to move freely and feel comfortable to enjoy the books they are experiencing.
