I teach a wonderful group of twenty five second grade students who have an unique zeal for learning (as seven year olds do). Many students struggle to find engaging literature. Many of my students enjoy reading material that is written to or about children their age. They especially love to read what they have created. Our newsletter gives them a tool to read over and over. It also stimulates writing ideas.
