My students and I are falling in love with books this year because of our growing classroom library. Just recently we have been talking audiobooks and how what a difference reading experience it is to hear someone tell the story. I have periodically let my students hear a few minutes of my audiobooks I've downloaded on my phone, and they get so into the story because of the dynamic narrators. I want my students to have the opportunity to not just read silently in class, but also to listen to these amazing stories via an audiobook. Our school has a classroom set of iPads that I'm hoping to checkout from, possibly 6 iPads to go with the 6 headphones I am requesting in this project.
