I teach an amazing set of 4th graders! The demographics of my school is approximately 1/3 African American, 1/3 Hispanic, and 1/3 Caucasian/Other. The district is high poverty. Most of my students qualify for free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. More than 1/3 of my students are English Language Learners. Despite the challenges my students face, they try their very best in class! They are bright, creative, and eager to learn. I strive to make students enjoy school and know that it is a safe place.
