My Special Day class needs this laptop to have rigorous math practice and advance their deficient math skills. Using the laptop daily will further foster better math, writing, and computer literacy, as my students will have the opportunity to engage in and type responses to real world math problems. A laptop would enable the use of adaptive applications to perform computations and fortify basic math facts, moving from concrete to abstract math concepts. This Dell laptop will make content comprehensible for all my students with disabilities, through high engagement, interactive math games and building their typing skills. Having adaptive applications further individualizes instruction, as students can work toward understanding place value and performing multi-digit arithmetic including multiplication, and division concepts. My students are highly motivated to learn but are in need of resources to advance their learning.
