My class project will be used in an everyday setting during my literacy stations. During these stations, my students will benefit from hearing fluent readers reading grade level texts. My listening center in the past has consisted of tape cassettes with a tape player. The cassette player has seen its last days and I really believe that a listening center is vital for first graders to hear and build reading and fluency skills. On a daily basis, these materials will be used by students to bring them the love and desire to continue to improve their reading. Please help me give my students this opportunity.
