In order to become a great artist you need to draw from observation and be inspired by your surroundings. Van Gogh painted his starry nights, Monet, local lily ponds, and O'Keeffe her New Mexican deserts. Artist for centuries have been inspired by the outdoors. I hope to give my students this opportunity with portable seating, so that we can explore our beautiful campus, and create art outside the art room. With my campus sitting on a beautiful hilltop, our traveling art room can paint a nature filled park in one direction, and draw a multidimensional city in the other. My hope is that my students will gain a better appreciation of the beauty around us everyday.

About my class
