I have been looking for ways to incorporate more technology based learning. My students are such hands on and visual students that this would be a great way to provide that within their learning. I would love to incorporate Osmo Genius kit in our math centers and reading centers. Also it will be away for my students to collaborate and work with each other in a fun and interactive way. Lastly, it would provide a more personalized learning environment and help to teach more independence and self navigation. Osmo Genius Kit offer many different uses which would help out in reading and math. Our students can use the letters portion to build words, work on spelling, and can fit perfectly into our phonics time. As for math, they provide tangrams for the use of shapes and also numbers to work on number sense activities. This would be great for differentiated work within the students center times. Also, the add on Pizza Game actually fits perfectly with one of our math centers for later on in the year. It works with money, fractions, adding, subtracting and relates to real world problems. Lastly, I have added bean bag chairs in to the donation to add comfort within the classroom.
