Currently, I have 6th- and 8th-grade students in my science classes. My students love to ask questions, and sometimes I do not have the answers to all of them. This year, though, I implemented using mobile devices in the classroom and my students LOVE using them to quickly research a topic we are discussing or use an app to develop an alternative assessment to expressing a concept in a different way. I am hoping, with the addition of robotics activities, my students will grow a deeper appreciation for the engineering portion of science/mathematics as well and will love using the technology associated with the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics Kit.
