I plan to prepare our learners for the 21st Century with an introduction to coding using an oversized Lego wall! I have an amazing wall space in my library just waiting to be made useful. Our district is embracing technology with a 1:1 iPad initiative. To fully benefit from this movement we need to cultivate an atmosphere of creation and production, not just looking at a screen, but producing content. Creating computer code is a forward thinking and exciting use of iPads. Introducing code creation on a screen would be overwhelming and difficult for most young learners. Introducing the concept with Legos is a hands on way to build a foundation for coding success!
