When people are infants or toddlers, they prefer to explore the world through their senses, mainly the senses of smell, taste, and touch. Art is one fantastic way to allow students to explore their senses appropriately.
Toddlers and infants explore the world through their senses, so we need to provide materials that are not harmful to them to investigate. We are currently out of art supplies that are safe for toddlers and infants. Toddlers are learning to control gross motor muscles, meaning the usual skinny crayons are useless to them. They need the big crayons to start their fine motor growth. The paint we use in our center is located outside of our classroom and using the finger painting bottles will provide more opportunities for the children to explore art. The glitter glue will be used in our art projects. We will be making infant slime they can feel. The bins will be used in our classroom for organization of our toys since currently, we are using old wipes' containers to hold our toys.
