The CD players, CDs and accompanying books will become part of our literary centers in which the kids will be able to check out a clear bag and pick a spot around the room. There, they will learn motor skills in putting the cd in the cd player, pressing play and being able to follow along with the book. The kid-sized headphones are to make sure they feel comfortable and secluded from the rest of the room. Now they will be able to transport themselves into the wonderful world of reading! In a classroom of ELL students, the audio books will serve as a tool in assisting the students learn to recognize words faster and how they should be correctly pronounced.
