These tables and chairs will help play an essential role in creating "flexible seating" in my classroom. Flexible seating is just what it sounds like—adaptable seating that supports different types of learners. My room currently has over thirty-one desks in it, which makes collaboration, travel around the room, and kinesthetic learning activities difficult to facilitate. Just these few pieces of furniture will help me transform my classroom into a more authentic, 21st century workspace. I have students with lots of different needs--these items will help me better engage and empower all of my learners through groupwork, movement, and natural communication.
