My students are preschool age. They are also deaf or hard of hearing. Our program focuses on speaking and listening skills and all of my students have hearing aids or cochlear implants. My students need to develop their language skills and learn to communicate effectively. The best place to start is vocabulary. Some of my students are lacking the most basic vocabulary, such as bed or bathroom. My students are very curious and they all want to learn as many new words as they can!
