I teach Dual Enrollment Introduction to Education and Teaching in Diverse Populations. This is a college level course where students are expected to compile research and write case studies related to Education. This class will allow my students to attain college credits and help them understand the education system and how their teachers work in the field. But my students do not currently have access to the technology that is needed to be successful in this class. We do not have access to enough computers for each student to research their assignments and we do not have a printer that students can use. With this project I am requesting 3 laptops that are small and portable, so students can work in small groups to complete their research tasks. I am also requesting a Brother Copy/Scanner/Printer which will allow students to print and scan their research and final documents to submit to college board. I am also requesting extra ink cartridges to refill the printer once students use the materials as well as printer paper. Without your support my students will be limited and they will not be as successful as they can be. The requested technology would be used for many years to come and would make a lasting impact in my classroom.
