Students need time daily to read books. Schools should encourage a love of reading whenever they can. Every inch of the school should be utilized to create a positive reading environment. The playground is no exception. We need two reading benches to comfortably read on the playground. Recess reading benches will create a positive reading environment on the playground and allow students to read comfortably. The playground is accessible to all students on a daily basis, and therefore is the perfect place to provide reading opportunities. Currently, there are no reading benches on the playground, and students sit and read on the sidewalk or on the playground equipment. Weatherproof garden benches will make the perfect playground addition for the students' reading pleasure.
