My fourth graders are adventurous, curious, capable, and amiable beings. They are constantly in search of answers for their wonderings. They are learning to become "Global Citizens;" consequently, they have begun organizing small demonstrations during recess/lunch time. They care about others in the world and each other in our classroom. When they are not fighting for the good of mother earth, they love to nestle up with a book in our tent and to think critically about real world problems. Although our classroom has some flexible seating that I have purchased, and acquired otherwise, there are just too many desks. Students are unable to walk freely, and often find themselves with books of others on their desks. I hope that with this new furniture, the kids will have more space to learn. The clutter could be overwhelming for anyone!
