Some students need multi-sensory activities in order for them to learn. These 3D letters will allow students to move, manipulate, and feel the letters. The alphabet arcs will allow many opportunities to practice ordering the 3D letters. Up to 20% of students are dyslexic and these hands on activities will help them learn their letter names and sounds to an automatic level. If we can remediate their weaknesses before they become a problem, then hopefully these students will never need to feel what it is like to be a struggling reader. These items will be helpful in incorporating Take Flight activities within my Kindergarten classroom, to those who show signs of needing extra support. Please help young readers this year and for years to come.
