Having access to a variety of biographies will help my second graders in their study of important figures in history. One of the major assignments in second grade is writing a report about an important historical figure. These books will make all the difference! These books will give the students a chance to learn about people who made a difference in the world. Having books on a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds will give the students the opportunity to understand the heterogeneity of heroes in our history. It will help them find a historical figure with whom they feel a connection.
