What child doesn't want to feel successful? My students are children who come primarily from low income households. Our school is an urban Title 1 school with almost 98 % of our students receiving free or reduced lunches. As with most first graders, my students have a great love for learning and work very hard to always do their best. Unfortunately, most of my students do not have the educational support at home and lack the math skills that are needed to give them a "leg-up" in math skills.
