Although my classroom has a variety of learners with a variety of needs, they are all expected to work in relatively the same fashion, by sitting at a table or desk. Flexible seating options would allow my students to become familiar with their own physical needs and practice independence. The materials in this project (wobble stools, floor seats, and balance balls) will give students the choice to move, bounce, or sit on the floor while they're working. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student comfort, attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not about visual distractions or sensory related discomfort.
