Welcome!!! My students attend fourth grade. Most of the population is of the Hispanic or African American descent and come from low-income households. All of the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. Many of my students have English as a second language, with Spanish being their native language. For most of my students, Spanish is the primary language spoken at home and by their parents and family members. Many of my students try their best to complete work and understand it, but struggle due to parents having to work to support their families or help with other siblings. My students take the time spent in school to learn as much as they can and to achieve great goals for themselves due to not having all of the tools or resources needed at home. With all of this said, my students come to school with a smile on their face every day and are excited and ready to learn something new!
