  • Assignments Can Be Fun!

    Funded May 29, 2025

My students enjoy being able to use all of the supplies, on a daily basis too, that you have so graciously given to this project for. Students need that one last nudge of confidence sometimes, to feel empowered and motivated. These supplies not only allow my students a creative outlet they need, but it also provides an opportunity to complete a project they can be proud of. With this boost of onfidence, my students excel and want to be successful in their other classes too. Thank you for believing that what I do everyday is important and for caring about my students.”

    With gratitude,

  • Charging Into a New School Year!

    Funded Aug 28, 2025

I am ALWAYS amazed at the generosity of our donors! WOW! Thank you SO much for giving to this project! My students mean the world to me and work so hard to be successful in everything they do. Projects like this, and donors like you, make sure that the simple act of charging a device, printing that essay, or even getting to enjoy an activity outside in the fresh air, POSSIBLE! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for believing in what we do everyday for the students who come to us and know we care about them and will do anything we can to make them feel safe, understood, and successful.”

  • Properly-Prepared for Projects

    Funded Dec 25, 2024

Wow! Wow! Wow! In high school, projects that showcase so much thought and understanding is hard to achieve without color, and because of your generosity, my students took the task of creativity to the next level!

Without words, depicting decades with only images, allowed my students to use their imagination and deeper knowledge of the importance of the chosen image. This alone is difficult because not every image depicts the same meaning. Growth through projects like this has shown maturity and accountability, and proved to be both academically satisfying and memorable for all of my students. Gold Star!!!

I am so thankful that donors like YOU believe in the academics of our youth today. I will continue to post meaningful requests to help aid my student's journey through their coursework, and hopefully tap into that moment when my students discover that learning is fun! Your contribution made all of this happen! Please enjoy the beautiful pictures of their hard work that only could have been made possible because of YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stewart

  • Colorful Thinking Skills

    Funded Nov 9, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity and for providing opportunities that would not have been made possible without your help. Businesses, parents, and entities such as the Schoen Foundation have completed the requests for this project and has given over 150 students the opportunity to use their creativity to learn something valuable.

Over the years, students have had to adjust to different learning styles; COVID certainly changed how were teach, and students have lost some creative outlets. Creativity is the perfect avenue to making connections between words and images, and allows a student to decide how they interpret information. It also allows students to expand how this information is valuable across their other classes, forming a learning link.

These connections through their own experiences and learning create lasting memories for our students. How they learn and retain what they learn is something that every teacher hopes for their students, and because of your generosity, you've made this happen. Thank you again for believing in my students, their learning, and their future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stewart

  • Positive and Impactful PSAs

    Funded Mar 7, 2024

This project was the student's favorite! They were able to bring to light topics and issues they feel strongly about that are happening today. I was so impressed that the students really took to this project and used their passion to drive the conversation and were quite mature about it. I plan to assign the same thing this year, with a few minor tweaks, but I cannot wait to see what this year's classes do!

Thank you so much for giving to our project and making this assignment something these students will remember as their passion project because it meant something to them. Not too often do you have former students return and ask about an assignment, but when they do, and enjoy it so much, it's a keeper.

Thank you for believing in my students, this project, and the future of our learners.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stewart

  • Living Within Color

    Funded Mar 22, 2024

Creativity sparks the interest that makes us all human. Curiosity, knowledge, and that question "why". Through color, my students are learning how the world turned through the decades of our history. Allowing them to bring these historic memories alive through color, seals the deal so-to-speak, by showing what life was like in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Teens were very different than they are today in every era, and it is so interesting to see how they assimilate themselves to the teens of the past through projects like the one they have completed with your generosity.

Supplies, especially ink for printers, is not always readily available when it comes time to hit that print button. We've been so lucky to receive these supplies from donors like yourselves, that will help make a boring project into something the students will remember for a long time because of the colorful images, information acquired, and their personal takeaway from it.

Update-My students absolutely loved doing something other than writing essays for a change, and by including the ability to print out color pictures to help explain certain things that were occurring during that time period, really helped them visualize so much of it. I mean, could you imagine never before seeing "shag" carpet in all its flavorful colors? Well, let's just say the pea-green and orange sherbet colors will, hopefully, not be making a comeback anytime soon!

Thank you again for believing that what we do in our classrooms helps every student. Sometimes figuring out the how to spark that interest, is simply to add color...and that's exactly what happened here.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stewart

  • Keeping Up!

    Funded Jan 4, 2024

Each year, I plan to do so many neat projects, decide how to approach a topic that may have been difficult previously, and try to make it meaningful and fun! Every year, I add some new element that I think my students will enjoy, to make it a memorable teaching moment for me, and something they can reflect on for themselves. Your generosity will help to make the assignments possible!

Just keeping up with the changing needs of students is difficult in and of itself, but then throw on top the evolving testing requirements, well, it's hard. In order to give my students real testing strategies and practice, it takes materials. Paper, ink, more paper and ink, and then writing utensils. The lists are long. Thankfully, my students will be prepared without worry, thanks to donors like YOU!

My students mean so much to me, and I take it upon myself to help in any way possible to make certain they are getting every bit of academic goodness I can squeeze out of our lessons. The selflessness from generous givers makes what would be a struggle for most teachers, something that can be effective and appropriate.

Thanks you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stewart

  • A Collaborative Classroom Copier

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

When my students saw the box with a new copier coming to our classroom, you could see their excitement, and then see that excitement slowly fade to the inevitable "does this mean more work for us?" look spread like fire from one student to the next! I'm positive I heard someone groan, then I explained "how" this would be beneficial for them. This intrigued them and the mood rose to an almost excitable gesture.

When students need to make a copy of homework, notes, or even a project, they are left with only one option, the library. This is a great idea, but sometimes the library is not open for students because of testing, or they didn't bring change for the copy machine, or they simply couldn't bring the original to be copied. These reasons hinder our student's ability to be productive and forces them to seek alternatives or they simply do not complete it.

By giving to this project, you have personally ensured that my students will be able to make their copies; allowing them to be the productive and efficient learners they know they are. Many times, when a student is absent, they take a picture of notes missed and have to rewrite them-this takes way too much time. With access to this classroom copier, it releives time constraints already in place, and they can go one with their studies. It also allows for students who are in electives, the opportunity to use the copier for projects. This classroom copier not only allows the students ease of access, but also allows them to make decisions about their creativity and academic adventures!

Thank you for giving to this project and for caring about our learners.”

  • "Clean" Learning Spaces

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

When my students enter my classroom, they immediately know they have clean surfaces to learn on. Just knowing this puts them at ease and their fear of picking up germs fades to the wayside. Before Spring Break, my students in our"Connect for Success" classes enjoyed cleaning their tables, counters, and even their phones! Who knew they could be so dirty!

For over a year, our learners have had to endure mandatory masks, social distancing, and hand-sanitizing when one enters every classroom. With all of these parameters in place, it made it so difficult to be "normal" and our learners suffered. They were afraid to catch this awful virus, and it hindered their prime socializing opportunities. This year, those blockades eased up enough that they were now allowed to sit near one another and interact in a more "normal" manner, but there was still a concern for germs.

By giving to this project, you have personally ensured that my students can learn without this fear. You can see their smiles and know that they are cautious, but have the tools to protect themselves, and others, against the surface contact of germs. It may sound weird, but this little gesture of cleaning has made an enormous impact on all of my students and has even sparked interesting discussions. It's talk like this that will keep our students learning without the fear of potentially harmful germs.

Thank you for giving selflessly to the health and well-being for all of my students!”

    Mrs. Stewart

  • Finishing Fourth Quarter with FLAIR!

    Funded Apr 21, 2021

Your generosity helped create a learning atmosphere for your child and many others this year. Thank you so much for helping close the school year with the supplies needed to create a positive way for the students to express themselves. Academics aside, students need time to be creative and be allowed to express themselves freely. Your generosity made that possible.

This was a tough year for many of our learners; virtual, in-person, back to virtual, and the masks did not help this, especially for our shy students. Expression was their outlet. Moving forward, please know that your selflessness really made a difference in many of these student's lives. From the bottom of my soul, I can't thank you enough.”
