My classroom serves kindergartners ages five and six. They are from the at risk community of central Harlem and attend our title one school of P.S. 197. My students are eager learners. They are bright and hungry to thrive. Unfortunately, given our title 1 status...our funding continues to be cut. These students are in great need of donors just like you. Your funding will help our school and our students thrive in a at risk environment. Despite our school having lack of funding, causing us to have dated curriculum, we want our students to continue to learn in fun and innovative ways. We want to begin at the earliest ages and instill a love of learning and reading. We want our students to have its ingrained in their core that learning and literacy is key to their success. So far our students have the drive...unfortunately we are lacking the resources to help cultivate that drive.
