I teach art in the only middle school for our county. We are a rural title one school in Alabama. Our students do not have art in the elementary schools. I teach three sections of beginning art and two sections of advanced art daily at the middle school level. I want my students to learn more than just drawing skills -- I want them to learn to appreciate artists and the history behind the artwork.
