As we all know, young children learn best through hands-on, social play. Due to local restrictions, my young first time Transitional Kindergarten students are not able to attend class in person, and we are finding creative ways to engage young learners in meaningful, fun ways at home. These items will provide my first time students the materials they need to engage in, and foster a love for, multisensory learning at home. With the help of the writing workbook that follows our curriculum, TK students' writing and alphabet knowledge will improve. Most importantly, they will gain confidence in themselves as readers, writers, and learners. Play-Doh and other letter building sensory experiences will help young learners make brain connections that will support their learning in fun ways with their new friends (even if it is over the computer screen)!
