My students come to school daily with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to learn. Everyday tasks can present a challenge to my kindergarten and first grade special education students. They need extra support with their learning readiness skills as some of them come to my class with minimum exposure to letters and numbers. My students disabilities range in severity from ADHD to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Each student is unique and requires different kinds of support in order to reach their education goals. Most of their work requires modification. They continue to grow in their social and academic development in an integrated public school. We teach acceptance of all of our peers in our learning community and show our support.
