My students, in 1st grade, are dedicated learners who are hungry for knowledge and are motivated to improve themselves as learners. Each student has special needs that they struggle with each and every day. Their needs, strengths and weaknesses all vary. Each student is unique and fills a piece to our classroom puzzle. The children live in an area that is stricken with poverty. We are a culturally diverse, Title 1 School, with a high number of LEP students. Each day, these children are faced with numerous environmental challenges. They are not defeated by their struggles, rather they use their struggles as drive for their future.
