Our school is a Title I school where most children come from very low income and/or non-English speaking families. Many of the children in my classroom have not had the benefit of being exposed to a lot because of reduced opportunities. As a kindergarten teacher at my school, I remind myself daily that I am the first formal teacher these children will have. I make it my goal to provide students with learning opportunities that will increase curiosity and inspire students to fall in love with learning.
