Our campus serves students in the 9th grade. Our school is a Title I school, which means that a majority of our students are economically disadvantaged. All of our students receive free breakfast and free or reduced fee lunch. Over 90% of our students are economically disadvantaged. Economically disadvantaged students are at a higher risk of dropping out of school. That is a sad reality. My students are smart, tough, and resilient. Their grit and determination are two qualities that set them apart. Many have had to overcome obstacles that children should not have to face. As a district and a school we are responsible for teaching our students communication, logic, intellectual, emotional, and social skills needed to live, learn, and work in our world.
