Students create ceramic examples of architecture each year. They use a lot of our limited class time rolling out clay slabs by hand. Often they have to do this many times due to the variety of thicknesses with the clay slabs. This gets frustrating and tiresome for them. I have personally bought rolling pins for them to use, but having the right tool would help them succeed. A clay slab roller is a tool that will be used for many years, by many students. Creating architectural structures out of clay requires that each student roll out a minimum of 6 slabs. When this task is taken on with only a primitive rolling pin, it takes the students several days to roll the number of slabs required. This piece of equipment will save time and have them working on their creativity and craftsmanship by Day 2!
