My students struggle with very significant reading disabilities that prevent them from answering the above questions positively. A student's reading ability impacts their academic achievement across all subject areas. For my students, reading is a constant struggle and a reminder that they are different from their peers. My students do not feel successful as they struggle to read simple text. Fortunately, my students are incredibly hard workers, and with reading intervention, we are striving to close the gaps in their reading skills. However, given the financial struggles within our community, our building is limited in the types of technology we can provide for struggling learners. As a result, we are not able to provide our students with the resources they need to support their learning. While we strive to create a positive learning environment, we need your help!
