These flexible seating options will enhance student learning and engagement. The wobble chairs will provide students with the ability to move side-to-side and provide better posture and focus. As for the ball chairs, they will be used to enhance student engagement by being able to bounce up and down, having appropriate control of their movements. The bands will be given to students at their request should they need to bounce their feet at a controlled resistance if feeling anxious. Student chairs will be in the classroom, but will have a cushion attached to the seat. My students will be taught flexible seating expectations and will be held accountable for how they use them. Our school is very focused on the child as a whole, and giving them options as to how they learn best will better enhance their motivation to learn in the classroom. My students will feel more at ease having flexible seating options in our classroom, rather than typical classroom seating arrangements. I want to provide them with a wide range of seating options for them to continue being successful learners.
