Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting in a school provided chair? These chairs are hard, cold, and stiff. They make learning uncomfortable! Currently my students use the "flexible seating" option of standing at their tables bent over in awkward positions or sitting on the extremely thin carpeted floor. Providing REAL flexible seating options will allow my students the ability to focus on their learning and be more engaged in activities resulting in a more pleasant learning experience and increased academics! Brain research confirms that physical activity – moving, stretching, and walking – can actually enhance the learning process. So please help my students get standing, kneeling, and bouncing they're way into successful apprentices!
