This year, I have a large kindergarten class with 22 students. I only have 5 iPads and 2 outdated computers. Students need to share these devices on a 1:3 ratio. An additional iPad, in my classroom, would help the students have better access to technology and prepare them for the future. I want to provide the best opportunities possible for my students to succeed. I plan to use the iPad to increase reading fluency, by having my students record their reading on the iPad and play it back. They can also post their work for parents, using the Bloomz app utilized in my classroom. We often use this app to share the engaging activities, student work, behavior and special events. We can also use it for differentiated instruction with our software program, Istation, for literacy and math instruction.
