Our students will be able to utilize these toolbox resources to gain a better understanding of coping skills, strategies, emotions, feelings, and more. Utilizing puzzles like Rush Hour helps to promote and develop critical thinking skills. Playing through the challenges builds reasoning and planning skills and provides a great stealth learning experience for our students. When working with any child, it is important to recognize and support that different learners have different needs. Critical thinking, overcoming challenges, working together and self awareness are all elements that these toolbox resources will help to promote. It is so important to integrate STEM learning with Social Emotional learning as this engages children's creativity through an expressive format while developing technical skills and a curious mindset. A strategic game like Uno builds on so many different components, but can easily booster confidence and motivation.
