Greetings! I am a super-passionate teacher dedicated to making learning relevant to my students. "My" kids deserve more than the basics- they need to be inspired! Because of this, my heart and time is devoted to making meaningful lessons- both inside the classroom and out. A world cultures class is the perfect space to learn about ourselves as we learn about others. Students learn to question without judgment, critique with respect, and defend their opinions. Students start each unit with eager anticipation and end it informed citizens. Outside the classroom, students are active agents of change. In our KIDS MATTER club, students select projects that will impact their community. From feeding homeless, volunteering at cat shelters, and supporting charities like Pennies for Pasta, the Arthritis Foundation or Susan G. Komen, students learn our society's needs realize that they are part of a real solution. Thanks!
