My classroom is filled with 16 students. My students need a safe, comfortable, and flexible classroom to learn and grow in a way that maximizes comfort and movement. Studies show children have a developmental need for movement. When students are involved in physical activities, they have higher academic success, better health, and improved behavior. Students confined to a desk all day are more likely to struggle with posture, behavior, and physical health. My goal with flexible seating is to allow my students to focus on learning and improve overall engagement. I believe my students need comfort and flexibility, to improve academic achievements, while decreasing the restlessness, fatigue and off task behaviors. An alternative seating option, such as stability balls, will benefit their overall academic achievements. The supplies would be a tremendous help to our classroom, and the students and I would be forever grateful. We would love a classroom full of "Flexible Seating for Flexible Learning"
