My Algebra 2 and AP Calculus classrooms are composed of bright sophomores, juniors and seniors who are driven to succeed. Though there are high expectations set for our students, our school is still lacking some essential resources to help our students succeed. We are a public charter high school with a focus on math, science and technology. Our students come from low-income, working class families and are predominately Latino. They live in an area with a high crime rate. Though they are faced with financial hardships, familial troubles and other daily obstacles, our students work hard to excel academically. Our school offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that prepares our students to not only gain acceptance to top universities and colleges, but to succeed when they get there. Our graduation rate hovers around 98%.
