Most of my students enjoy reading and literature. As a class we are learning various ways to analyze literature and create products that exhibit this learning. My students are also very creative, but lack the materials to make products that exhibit they level of creativity they are capable of. This Cricut machine would allow my students a new avenue. After they analyze the various aspects of Poe's writing (Character in this case) , they will then produce a character wheel that will assess their understanding. They will not only have to use basic drawing and/or hand cutting to create their projects, but they could also use this machine to cut words, shapes, etc. from various mediums to create a final product. This will be beneficial for all of my students, but especially for any who need motivation or feel that they lack the creativity to complete a final product. Students would be noticeably engaged and excited about their project, because they would now have a choice of using the machine to express their creativity which would in turn help them enjoy hands on projects.
