The music program offers students who don't always excel in their classrooms a chance to do just that... excel and gain the confidence they need as they grow and learn. Through musical skills, these students can relate what they learn in music to their classroom work and it can mean so much more. The students in our school have a passion for learning, and in the music room this looks a little different. Some students can't find success easily in core subjects, this is why music is such an important part of a well-rounded education. Not only do students learn to work together and gain confidence, but they learn to think. Music allows students to learn important problem solving skills, sequencing tactics, organizational skills and many other transferrable skills that they canuse in their other classrooms as well as the rest of their lives.
