I am Physical Education Teacher at a local Title I elementary school PS50Q in Jamaica, Queens where I teach a diverse array of young scholars and coach an enthusiastic group of cheerleaders ages 9-11. We perform at school games, cultural events, at various community projects, the Universoul Circus and most recently have been invited to perform at a Long Island Nets basketball game this season. The PS50Q Cheerleaders are more than just dancers. Our team is comprised of youth leaders, gymnasts, choreographers, ballerinas, chanters, and various movement styles including jazz, ballet, hip hop, gymnastics, breakdance and modern dance. We truly appreciate any opportunity to take part in thrilling community events that inspire our youth and expose students to educational and cultural experiences that positively impact their health, skills and social development for a lifetime.

About my class
