Preschoolers love to build and create. During each monthly unit of study, we ask for parent donations to support our learning and explorations. One such unit of study is Light, where we can use flashlights, glowsticks, headlamps, and other cool light items to learn about darkness, shadow, and more. But, if my students had the opportunity to build with these Light-Up Building Bricks, they would have one of the most memorable school learning experiences ever! They could build in the dark! School wouldn't be so scary; it would be a warm, friendly, safe, and fun place to learn! I wish I had Light-Up Building Bricks from Lakeshore Learning when I was in school! Certain materials afford learners the opportunity to have multiple entry points to learning success. My students would be able to explore their fine motor skills, enhance their creativity, and develop vocabulary and social skills as they work cooperatively together during explorations. I hope my students' love of learning will be as lit as these Light-Up blocks!
