Imagine being judged by your behavior but not understanding how to control the things you were doing. This is a reality for the young men in my classroom. Each of the students in my classroom has a different story, ability level and challenges. What they all have in common is that they were dealt a difficult hand in life. Autism, behavior disorders, cognitive impairments and mental health disorders are just some of the special challenges faced. My students are diagnosed with more than one special need and each of them has some type of behavior or mental health disorder.
