Coming back to school after closures has been created many big feelings for students, parents, and teachers alike. Many are excited, relieved, nervous, and everyone is ready to get back to learning and growing at school.
The goal of this project is to give every student in our class tools to promote their best learning, and ultimately academic success. We can do this by making sure these third graders each have a Bounce Band on their chair, allowing them to move their feet against resistance quietly while they work at their desks. We can also provide markings on the floor with velcro tape that help them keep their learning space tidy and follow the school policy of keeping 3ft between students. Finally, we can give these students solid wooden whiteboards that are easy to hold, erase clean, and will last for years to come. Students should be thinking about the academic content we are studying, not whether or not their whiteboard is falling apart. Let's get these learners the tools they need to grow in our classroom.
